What You’ll Do:
- Manage daily transactions, reconciliations, and coding in Xero
- Prepare BAS and IAS lodgements on time, every time
- Identify every deduction and credit the business is entitled to
- Deliver weekly cashflow reports and flag issues early
- Keep records audit-proof and compliant
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Contribute to forecasting and tax planning
We’ll Measure Success By:
- Bank reconciliations completed within 24 hours
- Zero late BAS or IAS lodgements
- Less than 1% error rate on coding
- Monthly reports delivered by the 5th business day
- All eligible deductions and credits claimed
You’re Perfect For This If You:
- Have at least 2 years experience as a bookkeeper
- Have at least 2 years hands-on experience with Xero
- Know Australian tax obligations and BAS inside out
- Obsess over accuracy and hate leaving loose ends
- Want ownership, not micromanagement
- Communicate clearly and flag issues early
